We’re excited to announce that Special Olympics Georgia will be our Charity Partner for the Inaugural Best Damn Race Savannah, GA event.

The Inaugural Best Damn Race Savannah will benefit the Special Olympics Georgia Area 17 (Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, Liberty and Long counties) Local Games held twice a year at Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus.

Special Olympics Georgia Area 17 has been chosen as a charity partner for the Inaugural Best Damn Race in Savannah, Georgia on February 16, 2019. Special Olympics Georgia Area 17 (Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, Liberty and Long counties)is honored to be a beneficiary of this great event. For more than 48 years, Special Olympics Georgia has been spreading the message that people with intellectual disabilities can – and will – succeed when given the chance. The proceeds from Best Damn Race will benefit the Special Olympics Georgia Area 17 local games held twice a year at Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus.

The Best Damn Race, Savannah, Georgia (https://savannah.bestdamnrace.com) features a Half Marathon and 5K at Forsyth Park on Saturday, February 16, 2019. The Best Damn Race is a running series created for runners by runners and aims to provide a big race experience at a local race price. The series features races throughout Florida in Jacksonville, Safety Harbor and Orlando, plus New Orleans, Louisiana and Savannah, Georgia. Best Damn Race is also supporting Special Olympics in their other four races; Special Olympics Florida for their races in Safety Harbor, FL, Jacksonville, FL & Orlando, FL and Special Olympics Louisiana for the race in New Orleans, LA.
